| I have been asked as a Committee Member of the Australian Silky Club of Great Britain to take over the production of our annual Newsletter, which I am at present feeling very confident about. I am hoping to make this Newsletter as Informative, Educational and fun, as possible, whilst also celebrating the fantastic achievements and developments our breed has experienced over the last year at shows and as a whole, here in England. I have asked all our members here in England for any articles that they would like to include in this, it can be anything, whether it is a recipe for showing bait, a poem, health issues, maintenance issues, DNA testing, etc. Linda Hart, if you read this, I would very much like to include an editorial from yourself, on the movement of the Silky, as I found your write up on the foorum very interesting and informative, and I think anyone reading the Newsletter would benefit greatly from an article such as this. It doesn't necessarily have to be on movement, it can be on colour, health issues, breeding, judging, 'tail or no tail' (your perspective on the pro's and con's of docked and un-docked tails), anything at all that you think would be interesting and educational, i think it is always good to have different thoughts and views and ideas, from all over the world, that all our Members here can benefit from. So if anyone has anything at all that they think would be good to include I would be very grateful. If anyone would like a copy of this Newsletter, when it is released I will be more than happy to send one to you. We are hoping to have this Newsletter available on the Discover Dogs Stand at Crufts 2008, for people to take at their pleasure, so due to this we are not doing Kennel Adverts, as under Kennel Club Rules you are not allowed too as you are only allowed to promote the breed as a whole and not individuals. Any articles that appear in the Newsletter, will be read by many people from all over the world that attend the Discover Dogs stand at Crufts, so we want to make this Newsletter, the very best we can to help promote our wonderful breed. Best wishes | |

| Thank you Irma I am reallly looking forward to doing this Newsletter, although I know it will be hard work, it will be worth it, as I have spoken with Club Members and they are very keen to have this new and improved Newsletter, that will bring everyone together, even those that are not showing anymore, for whatever reasons. I would be very grateful if you could send me by email some articles, maybe even write one for me, on something that you think is important and educational, people would take much pleasure in reading an article from someone who is so knowledgeable about the breed and whose reputation is very high and respected here in England, by many of the Silky people. I can't wait for next year, it is going to be a very exciting year, for us all with all the new things that are going to happen, I spoke with Mark Burns the other day and he was telling me how Richard Haynes had been to the Speciality in America (he was one of the people that was talking with Kristiina) and he loved her dogs, he was so impressed with them, thought they were beautiful types, there was one imparticular that he adored, but he couldn't remember the name he had been told, I will find out at the Breed Seminar next weekend. I am so pleased for Kristiina and Linda as now they are recognised by very good judges, as having very good quality silkies and being good breeders I must speak with you over the weekend, I haven't spoken now for so long, and i am starting to miss you and I have so much to tell you, really exciting things, email me today if you get the chance I have tried to ring you, but you never answer your phone Irma Best wishes | |

| Congratulations Tanya! That is really great news! I would be honored to to send you some writings for the Newsletter. I'm sure Kristiina and I can also get you plenty of news from here in the U.S. on a regular basis. I'm so glad to hear Richard Haynes liked the Silkys at the Specialty. I'm pretty sure the dog he is talking about that he liked so much is Tiina's 'Jayden'. Richard examined him on the table and was very complimentary. He is a beautiful and very proper Silky in every way. Kristiina has every reason to be proud of him! Richard and his friend were so nice and we enjoyed talking with them at the show. I wish we would have had more time! It really is a small world! Linda Hart Kharah Silkys | |

| Thank you Linda, I am so pleased that you are willing to do an aritcle for me, it would be greatly appreciated by all the Silky enthusiasts here in England, I look forward to receiving it. I was discussing it with mum last night and she also thinks that your thoughts and pointers on movement would be fantastic as we could see from the short bit you wrote here on the forum, it was very informative, but I will leave it in your capable hands to decide what you would like to write, and if Kristiina is willing to do one also, that would be fantastic too. I will email Kristiina with my email address for you to send it too (not too keen on posting it on here incase I get, stupid emails from certain cretins who feel the need to behave like children!), I would sent it directly to you, but I can't find a website for you on the internet, with contact details! I have put a deadline in place of the 20th November, so that i have sufficient time to put the Newsletter together ready for our Club show on the 9th December, and so I can get it out to all of our Club Members in plenty of time before Christmas. Is Jayden related to 'Revy' (I hope that is his name!) I get so confused, without pictures of them I do get easily confused! I would love to see some pictures of your little ones. I will find out more next weekend, about Mr Haynes thoughts on the Silkies he saw and find out exactly which one he was in love with, I having a feeling you could be right, that it was Jayden! Best wishes | |

| Tanya, I try my best to come up some interesting articles for your GB Newsletter. I just need your E-mail address. Linda's writing about the proper Silky Terrier movements in this forum earlier was excellent!!!! I showed to Linda couple of movement pictures about Finish sillys, that some people have bragged about. Yeah sure, if you like that kind of movement that none of the pows do not touch the ground! But that is NOT the way Silky Terrier should move! Linda has the knowledge about silkys and I respect her opinion. I am very lucky to have you all as my close friends. Many doors has been opened to me lately because of you my friends, THANK YOU!!!!!! I am pretty sure that the silky we are talking about is "Jayden"! Jayden's sire is Revy and Jayden looks like his poppa too!!! I am very lucky to have him and soon you are too because of his offsprings. Mellie's and Jayden's puppies are very promising! Tanya, let me know what our dear Judge friends say about our silkys in USA and off course what they think about Jayden. By the Way, "Jayden" is a new English baby boy name that I found and I liked it a lot. I am so honored to have such a sweet tempered boy like Jayden, he is so sweet. He love to play with the puppies hours after hours without loosing his temper. I'm so lucky! Some bloodlines carry the nasty temperaments and and some people just ignore that and said that is OK, because silkys are terriers! NO dog should be nasty, NOT even terriers, that is not excuse!!!!! Terriers are energetic, keen, alert dogs, NOT nasty and ready to kill each others. Kristiina The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Eleanor Roosevelt | |

| I will get to work on an article Tanya as soon as I get back from shows this weekend here in Colorado! Yes, Jayden is Revy's son out of Sola, Tiina's girl. I have Cruiser out of that same litter. Jayden looks more like Revy but both boys are so very nice and doing well in the show ring as Champions (Specials as we say here). I don't have a website yet, though I plan to do one soon. I will try to send some pictures from this weekend to the list. I have enjoyed seeing everyone's dog photographs so it would be fun to share some of mine! I talked to Tiina tonight and will get your e-mail from her to send you the article. Now I am off to bathe dogs so I can go to the shows in the morning! Linda Hart Kharah Silkys | |
