Let me present me and my family shortly.
My name is Anne Rasmussen. I’m married to René and we have a daughter Mille at 5 years. We live in Denmark. We are the proud owners of two Austalian Silky Terrier.

The first one is Silkylyst’s Lorenzo / Enzo. He is 15 month and just having the best temper, he is happy, playful, loves children, just a great lovely Silky. I have been going to shows with him, but unfortunately he has a little problem with his coat - there is a lot of it, woolly and black.

Our second and very new Silky is BombixMoren Akvamariiini / Riiini. We got him Thuesday the 11th March. Riiini is just a happy, brave and curious little fellow. The meeting between Riiini and Enzo went very well. Enzo was rolling on his bag “surrendering” to Riiini on top and they tumbled around, playing and fighting for fun. They just get along with each other so well.
Riiini is a beautiful Silky-puppy, with a touch of elegance – I think.

I/we can’t thank Virginia and Irma enough for this lovely Silky. We hope that Riiini will do well in the future so you can be proud of him.

And also a special thanks to Terhi and Tiinti for bringing him with you to Helsinki and meet with me, so I could bring him home.

It's always so nice to have new persons here and specially from Denmark! We have so many countries of people here and its so cool! And of course congratulations for new Silky puppy "RIINI" too! It's so nice name Akvamariini, jewellery maybe?

My name is Rose (my nickname) and married too. And I have one Silky boy here in Finland. Tiro-Taro is his name, and he is 9 months old. We have Collie too. We also like dog shows, it's our hobby or can I say way of life today.

But anyway, you Anne can also write to me or anyone else e-mail too, you can see that in this foorum, those e-mail adresses...

Thank you very much. It will be okay to write in English, but if wee one day talk person to person, I properly would prefer slow Swedish/Danish .

It is nice to have a place to talk and hear about Silky’s. There isn’t many Silky’s in Denmark, and I was to a show Sunday in Malmö with our Enzo and some of my Danish silky friends. And I found out, that there properly only is two Silky-breeders left in Denmark - That is not much.
That is one of the reasons why I must keeping going to shows, so the Silky won’t be forgotten here in Denmark.

And this group will be grow each day, thank you all of that! :family1: Especially to you, now!

I know that sometimes it is so lonely if you have not any other silkypeople to talk about. But if that day comes write here, we all do our best to notice that. We write here and to each other quite much almost every day something, results and etc. :laie:

My name is Jutta and I am breeding silky terriers with Irma under the name Bombix Moren. At the moment I have 5 silkies at home. I have two 12 year old silkies, one is 7, then I have a 5 year old and my youngist is almost 2.

I am Virginia's daughter Tanya, I have Marty, Nitro (riiini's auntie) and Beau (Riiini's half sister).

I am so thankful that little Riiini is in a good home, it is always so hard for me to let the puppies go to their new homes, i get far too attached to them, if i could i would keep every single one, because every one of them is special to me. Riiini is such a lovely boy, so loving, a real character, for me he always stood out among the puppies, he was the boss of them all, so self assured! I do believe he will be a wonderful show dog, just watching him playing in the garden it was always clear to see, he knows how to stand naturally on his own, and also on the grooming table. I wish you and Riiini many, many years of happiness, and I look forward to hearing all your news, i am grateful that i will be able to know how he is getting on through you here on the foorum.

Thank you for your kind words. I can assure you that we will take good care of Riiini.

The way you described him is just so accurate “he was the boss of them all, so self assured!” He is still trying to be the boss and he really believes in himself. Enzo is very indulgent to Riiini, but sometimes he puts Riiini in his right place gently. Riiini will need a bit more training/upbringing than Enzo did, but gentle with rewards so he still keeps his self assurance and will keep being a happy dog.
The way he carry himself (can I say that?), the way he walks, there is a touch of elegance, I think. So I also think that he will be a good show-dog.

Tanya – congratulations with your pregnancy – I hope that you will have a good pregnancy !
