TOP Silky Terriers in U.S.A.

Here is the RESULTS (January - February 2008) from USA. The competition just started and it will end the end of this year. Anything can happen since we have nine more months to go.
As you can see there is couple dogs from finish backgrounds. Number TWO at this point is Am Ch BOMBIX MOREN Jaspis (TumTum) , Breeder Irma Leino, well known even here in USA. Well deserved
placement for this beautiful male, witch is the ALL TIME most successful import from Finland.
The other dog from Finish backgrounds is Am Ch NOET Chase The Ace (Jayden), young dog witch has been showed by breeder- owner- handler Kristiina Teerikorpi, originally from Finland too. Jayden has been shown only a couple of times in this year.

Thanks Kristina, for posting the results so far. Well done to Irma for breeding and allowing Tum Tum to be shown in the USA. Hopefully I might get to see him at the Specialty this year :D
It also made me smile because listed at the bottom of the second set of listings, is my new young dog co-owned with Norma Baugh. Connor is only just 12 months old, so I don't think he will remain in the rankings as he needs to stay at home to mature into a special, I just can't wait until he lands here in the UK but I think it will be a while before he does.
You don't know how hard it is to get Norma to part with one of her "bear boys" :lol!:

We all have to be very proud to make in this lists, It is not that easy that it looks.
And in the other way it is very easy to be at the top, IF you go to the shows that doesn't have much competitions.

Lisa, It will be nice to meet you at Sacramento on May. I think we will see TumTum over there too, since he was qualified to TOP 20 this year too.
I will be there with my boys. Jayden's brother is TOP 20 qualifier too.

STCA National Specialty a great show and we will have a very good health seminar there too. It is must to attend.

I can't wait to catch up with my friends old and new. Its been 4 years since I was last at a specialty. But it was one I remember soo well. I was asked to handle a dog 15 minutes before the best of breed competion was called.
Anyway to cut a long story very short, I ended up winning an award of merit with the dog I handled, I can still picture shari McNairs face now!!!
I enjoy watching all the judging, from sweeps( Norma usually gives me a wild puppy to handle) to the Best of breed competion. I must admit My favourite is the Top 20 as you hopefully get to see all the best dogs. I showed our beloved Skipper in the Top 20 when it was at Dallas and I was a ring steward for Louise Rosewell at Houston, hopefully I'll get to watch it this time!!!
The health seminars look really good, and hopefully I can bring back plenty of information for everyone here in the UK and Europe.
